ℹ️ Rotary engraving
The rotary engraving attachment is available exclusively for the Trotec Speedy 400 and is suitable for engraving cylindrical workpieces.
🚨 Important safety notice
The laser cutter must be switched off while the table is fully lowered, before the rotary engraving attachment is installed.

🚨 This step is mandatory.
- First switch on the Speedy 400 and let it reference
- Then SWITCH OFF the Speedy 400
- Now install the rotary engraving attachment
- Installation may only be done with the laser switched off and the table fully lowered.

✅ Step by step
1️⃣ Prepare the machine
- Switch on the laser cutter.
- Move the table all the way down.
- Switch off the laser cutter.
🚨 This step is mandatory. Installation may only be done with the laser switched off and the table fully lowered.
2️⃣ Insert the rotary engraving attachment
- Place the attachment at the back left against the stop of the honeycomb grid.
- Connect the plug in the laser cutter.
- Switch the laser cutter back on.
After switching on, the laser detects the rotary engraving attachment automatically. The Y axis is locked and the laser head positions itself over the attachment.
3️⃣ Position the workpiece
- Clamp the workpiece.
- Set position and rotation with the arrow keys.
4️⃣ Prepare RUBY
- Activate rotary engraving.
- Enter the diameter of the workpiece.
- Prepare the job as usual.
- Check the position.
5️⃣ Start the engraving
- Send the job.
- Check the position again.
- Start the engraving.
- Watch the machine during the entire job.
⚠️ Before starting, make absolutely sure that the laser head cannot touch either the workpiece or the rotary engraving attachment.
